The Philips C6-3 is a broadband curved array (convex) ultrasound transducer designed for general-purpose abdominal imaging and a range of other clinical applications. With a frequency range spanning 3 to 6 MHz, it strikes a practical balance between tissue penetration and image resolution , enough depth to reach abdominal organs, enough detail to see what matters.

The probe has a 50 mm radius of curvature, which helps it maintain good skin contact even over curved anatomical surfaces. Its relatively narrow footprint also makes it useful for intercostal imaging the space between the ribs .
