This LoC dual-channel BIS sensor module, manufactured by Covidien, is designed for use with the Philips M1034-60021 BIS X-Engine monitor as a core front-end signal acquisition component for dual-frequency index (BDI) monitoring in the operating room. It acquires weak EEG signals from the patient's forehead via matching BIS electrode strips and forwards the processed raw biological signals to the main BIS monitor, where algorithms calculate real-time anesthesia depth readings.

This channel OEM module, bis loc (Level of Consciousness), features a compact, portable, plug and play design, delivering the latest performance in bis EEG monitoring technology. It acquires and processes EEG data using the patented bis algorithm via the main monitor cable and patient interface cable, displaying the results as the bis index.
