► Brief Description

The M3014A module itself provides mainstream carbon dioxide monitoring functionality for IntelliVue patient monitors (such as the MP20 and MP30).

Function Description: This module continuously measures the carbon dioxide concentration in the patient's exhaled breath using infrared absorption spectroscopy.

The M3014-66441 green PCB board integrates a microprocessor, a red power transformer, multiple connectors, and various electronic components, forming the core of the M3014A carbon dioxide graphical expansion module.

M3014-66441 Functions:

1. Signal Processing: Receives analog signals from a mainstream carbon dioxide sensor (connected in the patient's airway) and converts them into digital data.

2. Control Functions: Controls sensor heating (maintaining a constant temperature), zero-point calibration, and the gas sampling process.

3. Communication: Exchanges data with the monitoring host via the MSL (Measurement Signal Link) interface, transmitting EtCO2 (end-tidal carbon dioxide), numerical values, and respiratory rate to the monitoring screen for display.
